For the Principles of The Knight Alliance this used to be called ‘doing an Uncle Johnny’ as an uncle in Scotland had been febfasting each and every February since time immemorial.
Febfast is a national health and fundraising initiative that challenges Australians to pause for the better and take a break from alcohol in February.
Participants raise money to enable young people to take control of their lives and overcome alcohol and other drug problems.
Staff and Clients are encouraged to undertake this annual phenomena and to contribute what they would have spent on alcohol to drug related ‘not for profit’ organisations such as Odyssey House.
